Accommodations
The Nichii Gakkan Kobe Port Island Center will provide meeting rooms, meals and limited accommodations for the participants. Seventy-five (75) single bedrooms have been reserved.
Prof. Saleem Jahangeer from Kobe University has recommended the following alternate hotels which are close to the meeting venue for family members:
PORTOPIA HOTEL – is located 1.6 km (1 mile) from the Port Island Minami station or just two Portliner stops away from the workshop venue. The Portliner stop for Portopia Hotel is called Shimin Hiroba Station.

QUALITY HOTEL KOBE – is located 1.6 km (1 mile) from the Port Island Center, on the same Portliner station stop as the Portopia Hotel (above). Click here for their English language Webpage.
HOTEL PEARL CITY KOBE – This hotel is the nearest to the workshop venue at 1.2 km (3/4 mile) away. It is a two-minute walk from the Portliner station called Naka-futo Station. Click here for their English language Webpage.
Family members are welcome to join in the social events at the workshop, but may need to find and reserve their own accommodations.
